BACKHOE OPERATOR TRAINING

Course Description
:

This program was developed to train individuals in the fundamentals of heavy equipment operations. It will provide those with the background, insight, and practice that is necessary in the construction industry. The Backhoe Training Course is a 2-week course (total of 40 hours) which provides students and employees with the basic knowledge and skills needed to safely operate a Backhoe loader. The course is held on-site at training center facilities, using the agency’s equipment. Teaching methods include heavy 'hands-on' participation, visual aids, text and equipment operation.Students will be required to practice and demonstrate proper and safe use of the loader-backhoe while performing outlined tasks. Program is progressive and thus the instructor will introduce exercises of increased complexity and difficulty. In addition, each student will receive an operation manual for future reference.

At the conclusion of this program students should be able to demonstrate safe operation of Backhoe Equipment as required by the OSHA – Occupational Safety and Health Administration Standard.

 


Course Duration:

·
40 hours ( 6 Theory Days and 4 Days of Hands-On)
· Four operators per session to allow for maximum instructor/operator interaction
