New Stand-up Forklift Operator Training Class - II
Course Description: This is a fully comprehensive course designed for an individual with little or no lift truck experience. This course is comprised of intensive classroom instruction, including discussion and a written test, as well as hands-on practical training and evaluation. Upon successful completion of the course, the operator will be presented with a lift truck certificate as proof of training.
At the conclusion of this program students should be able to demonstrate safe operation of forklift as required by the OSHA – Occupational Safety and Health Administration Standard CFR- 29 -1910-178.
Course Duration:
·40 hours ( 5 Theory Days and 5 Days of Hands-On) ·Four operators per session to allow for maximum instructor/operator interaction Course Content:
Theoretical ·Introduction to OSHA ·Standard Federal Requirements 29 CFR 1910.178 ·Pedestrian awareness ·Basic principles: lift truck design and operation ·Parts of a truck/pre-shift inspection ·Operation of truck ·Fuel sources (battery and propane and Diesel / Gasoline) ·General safety rules/guidelines ·Summary (written test) ·Practical evaluations – (Must Pass) Practical

Students will have the opportunity to use the following school equipment as required throughtout the program: Stand-up Electric class II lift truck

Classes generally range in size from 4 to 8 students
